Context: a public sector shop with tight budgets. I've read the docs but would love real-world experience.

Make sure someone owns integrations after go-live. Ours went orphaned for a while.
We automated most of it with a testing tool. Worth every penny.
We ran parallel for two months. Painful but it caught a lot.
