Company Answers One of the Most Common Frustrations in Job Hunting
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Workday Rising 2026 - Workday,
Inc. (NASDAQ: WDAY), the trusted agentic platform for HR, finance, and IT,
today announced Workday Candidate Profile to let job seekers own, manage, and
save their information once and reuse it when they apply for jobs at the
thousands of companies that use Workday to hire. Workday Candidate Profile
will help job seekers apply faster without creating a new account or retyping
their work history for every company, while helping employers get more
completed applications without changing how they hire.

Applying for a job shouldn't feel harder than finding the job itself. But too
often, job seekers click apply and hit the same roadblocks: another account, a
new password, and the same work history they have already entered on a resume
or past application.
When job seekers give up before submitting, employers lose candidates they
worked hard to attract. On average, 60% of candidates abandon applications
because of length and friction. And with the average job search lasting 11
weeks, time saved on each application can add up quickly.
With Workday Candidate Profile, a job seeker can use their saved information
to help complete future applications with just an email and a one-time code,
with no new password to remember. Roughly 80% of the standard fields will
already be filled in with their contact information, work history, education,
and skills before they've typed a word, which is expected to make applying
about 40% faster than filling out the same application by hand. They can
review it, change anything they want, add more detail, or answer a question
specific to that employer, like how they heard about the role, and then
submit.
"We've heard the feedback from job seekers, and they're right," said Gerrit
Kazmaier, president, product and technology, Workday. "Filling out an
application should be simple and seamless and nobody should have to retype
their resume every time they apply for a job. Workday Candidate Profile gives
every job seeker a fast path when applying for their next role."
Job Seekers Apply Faster, Without Starting Over
Job seekers will see the Workday Candidate Profile sign-in option when they
apply through a company's job site. They will also be able to sign in and
apply from their phone, helping the hourly and frontline workers who often
apply for jobs that way.
Workday Candidate Profile doesn't decide who gets hired. It doesn't rank,
recommend, or reject anyone. It only fills in information job seekers have
chosen to save, and they decide what each employer sees.
"For as long as I've worked in talent acquisition, we've asked job seekers to
prove who they are from scratch every time they apply. It's one of the most
persistent sources of friction in hiring, and they feel it," said Kyle
Lagunas, founder and principal analyst, Kyle & Co. "Workday Candidate Profile
flips that. Job seekers bring their story with them, and recruiters start the
conversation with context instead of a blank form. That's the kind of
practical change that actually moves the experience forward."
Employers Get More Finished Applications, Without Changing How They Hire
Every application a job seeker gives up on halfway through is one an employer
never sees. And when applications are incomplete, recruiters can spend extra
time chasing missing information. With Workday Candidate Profile, more people
will finish the applications they start, submit more complete information, and
leave a better first impression, whether or not they ultimately get the job.
Employers will not need to change how they hire. Their career site, screening
questions, validations, and existing recruiting workflows all stay in place.
Availability
Workday Candidate Profile is expected to be generally available to Workday
Recruiting customers in early calendar year 2027.
